I started this portrait of two of my nieces back in 2003, before embarking on my nursing career. It was kind of an experiment, to see whether I could finish a portrait faster if it was mostly face. I finished it a few weeks ago, after finishing my master’s degree, which means it took me 8 years. I guess that means the experiment was a failure!
