Ugh

I used to have nothing but praise for Speakeasy, but this is turning into a theme. First they bungled the scheduling on my office's switch (cut off our old DSL service and activated our new service before actually sending us the new DSL modem, so we were unconnected for over a week), then they failed to communicate to me the fact that *I* would need to call Verizon directly and jump through a bunch of hoops to get my apartment wired, and now this.

Say what you will about cable, but I've ordered Comcast service twice in the last few years, and each time the cable guy showed up right on time, plugged in the cable modem, and it worked. DSL providers and phone companies need to get their act together if they want to retain customers.
