I don’t curently have any US west cost trip in the pipeline. But as soon as I can afford it, or trick my boss into sponsering the trip, I’ll be there.

I’m pretty sure my kids are the only kids in the WORLD who would help their mom wheel a load of muddy concrete blocks into the house without batting an eyelash!

I am pretty sure that this sort of thing was also commonplace in my household growing up. However, my mother had a particular affinity towards large stones and red bricks (that had already been used at least once, bonus points if she found them laying around in an abandoned lot somewhere, or next to train tracks, she sure does love train tracks).

Perhaps Risa would have batted an eyelash, but probably not much more than that. But it’s all my fault, of course. Well, at least it’s half my fault. (Eiffel, are you reading this?) I was one of the architects behind your flimsy old gate. Perhaps we should get some wood and build a new one, someday? So Eiffel, when’s the next time you’re coming over here to visit?
